First, Google drive me aapko Free 15GB storage milta hai, jo aapke liye kafi hai. Dropbox aapko free 2GB storage provide karta hai.

Second, Security and reliability jo google aapko deta hai. Aap google par full trust kar sakte hain ki aapka data safe and secure hai.

Google Drive se best aur koi cloud storage ho hi nahi sakta apni wordpress site ka backup lene ke liye. Isliye personally main aapko recommend karunga ki Google Drive ko hi select kare.




So Let’s start step-by-step process:-

1. Visit Google API and Create New project

Sabse pahle aapko Google API console par visit karna hai, agar aap Gmail account se login nahi hai to login kare and Visit this link

Ab Select a Project par click kare aur options me Create a Project… par click kare.

Ab small window me aapko new project create karna hai. Just Project ka koi bhi name enter kare and Create par click kare.

2. Activate Drive API

API list me se Drive API search kare aur uske upar click kare.

Now click on Enable button:

3. Create Credentials

Google Drive API enable karne ke baad aapko Credential set karna hai.

  • Credentials Tab par click kare aur waha “0Auth consent screen” par click kare.
  • Yaha aapko Products Name me kuch bhi name enter karke, sabhi optional options blank rakhna hai aur Save par click karna hai.

4. Setup 0Auth Client ID

Ab aapko Add Credentials tab par click karke yaha “OAuth Client ID” par click karna hai.

0Auth Client ID par click karne ke baad next screen me aapko below details fill karna hai.

  • Application Type me “Web Application” select kare
  • Name me “UpDraftPlus” type kare
  • Authorized Javascript origins me apni site ka name enter kare
  • Authorized redirect URIs me aapko apni Updraftplus URI enter karna hai. Updraftplus plugin panel open kare, Settings par click kare, now select Google Drive. Ab aapko API show karegi. See below image:

Google API Client ID me URI enter karke Create par click kare.

Create par click karte hi aapki Client ID and Client Secret ID create hogi jo aap screen par dekh sakte hain.

  • Ye dono IDs aapko apni updraftplus Google Drive settings me enter karna hai.
  • Set karne ke liye Apne WordPress dashboard par updraftplus plugin panel open kare.
  • Yaha Settings me Google Drive select kare aur ‘Google Drive client ID‘ and ‘Google Drive Client secret‘ me above IDs paste kare.

Now click Save Changes

Settings save karne par aapko sabse top par message show karega. Usme aapko show kar rahi link par click karna hai. (see below)

Link par click karne par ab next aapko Google Drive par updraftplus ko authorized karna hai, Alow par click kare.

Done!!! Humne successfully Google Drive ko Updraftplus plugin se connect kar liye hai. Aapko top screen par Success message show karega. Jaha aap apna available storage 15GB dekh sakte hain.

Ab aap ready hain apni wordpress site ka Google Drive me backup lene ke liye.

5. Create Backup

Aap manually and Automatic backup kar sakte hain see how:-

1# Setup Automatic backup

  • Automatic backup set karne ke liye plugin me Settings par click kare.

  • Files backup schedule aap daily, monthly, weekly timing set kar sakte hain.
  • Database ka backup karne ke liye bhi aap koi bhi timing set kar sakte hain. Database ke liye aap weekly choose kare.

2# Manually Backup kaise le

Manually backup karne ke liye “Current Status” me “Backup Now” par click kare

  • Next popup window me files and database select kare and Backup Now par click kare. Done!!
